Jacory Blue (22 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below with short hair) and Demarcus Powell (21 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below with long hair) who were both arrested for an Aggravated Robbery that occurred on Monday, November 16, 2020 near the Timberlake Courts Apartments have each additionally been charged with Murder. Further investigation into the Aggravated Robbery and Murder that occurred within minutes of each other have revealed that they were committed by the same suspects.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Blue and Powell had conspired with two female suspects to post prostitution ads online as a ruse to lure unsuspecting men to their location. The men would contact the females via a prostitution ad placed online. The females would set up a meet and when the men would arrive, Blue and Powell would rob them at gunpoint. At this time, it appears that the victim of the Aggravated Robbery and the Murder victim, had both arrived at 125 IH-10 N as a result of this ruse. It was learned that the first Aggravated Robbery did not occur on the service road, but inside the apartment complex. Detectives believe that there are other victims who were robbed by this group of suspects who have not filed a police report. Both Blue and Powell remain in the Jefferson County Jail on the Aggravated Robbery and Murder charges. The investigation is on-going and additional suspects may be charged.
