Some of the best police motorcycle officers from around the state will be competing in the 2014 Southeast Texas Motorcop Rodeo. Opening ceremonies begin tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. at Ford Park. Competition kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with officers competing in a series of courses throughout the day.
The event is free to the public and it offers citizens a rare opportunity to witness the skills of police motorcycle officers as they navigate difficult obstacle courses. In addition to the competition, we will have static displays of our police vehicles including the Beaumont Police SWAT Armored Personnel Carrier, the Jefferson County Sheriff helicopter and Jefferson County Sheriff marine unit. Food and drinks will be sold by our Beaumont Police Law Enforcement Explorer Scout Post.
This event is hosted annually by the 100 Club of Southeast Texas and the Beaumont Police Department Traffic Unit Motor Officers.
