The City of Beaumont will host its annual citywide litter pick-up RAIN OR SHINE on Saturday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in conjunction with the Texas Trash-Off, a statewide event that draws tens of thousands of volunteers each year. Materials will be available at the registration site. There will be snacks, coffee, and water in the morning, and pizza for lunch. The first 500 volunteers receive a free T-shirt!
The Beaumont Trash-Off is held in conjunction with the statewide Texas Trash-Off.
REGISTRATION CHANGES: Registration will be held the morning of the event at the Event Centre (700 Crockett Street). Teams and individuals are responsible for transportation to and from clean-up sites. ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to volunteers and sizes can not be guaranteed.

- Guess St./Old Voth Road Area (near Roy Guess School)
- Amelia Area
- Ozen High School Area
- Sterling Pruitt Activity Center, 2930 Gulf St.
Maps of target areas will be available during registration at the Event Centre.
The Don’t mess with Texas® Trash-Off is the single largest one-day cleanup event in the state. The Texas Trash-Off is part of TxDOT’s litter prevention program, which includes Don’t Mess with Texas, and a grassroots partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful. When you pledge your time and effort for the 2015 Beaumont Trash-Off, you are joining Texans across the state who will be pitching in to improve their communities. In 2014, local volunteers removed nearly 6 tons of litter and debris from Beaumont’s roadways, neighborhoods, and parks. Statewide, more than 100,000 volunteers collected 6.7 million pounds of trash.
