Good Afternoon,
Our City crews are currently out working to clear and remove debris from roadways and will also be moving systematically through neighborhoods to pick up debris that has been gathered and pushed to side of the roadway. Entergy crews continue to work to restore power.
We ask that you use extreme caution and be mindful of hazards, such as live power lines that may be hidden by debris, watch for animals that are loose due to downed fences and If you must go out watch for traffic control devices that are inoperable or missing. Please treat all intersections as a four way stop sign.
The most efficient way to report damage to your home or business, is to self-report on the city of Beaumont webpage, www.beaumonttexas.gov by clicking the tab on the left side of the site. If you do not have online capability, PLEASE call 409-785-4700.
Feel free to post any storm related photographs on the Office of Emergency Management Facebook page to assist us in recording damage throughout the city.
Please do not run generators inside your home, near air intakes or in any location that could subject yourself to Carbon Monoxide exposure. Carbon Monoxide is a colorless, odorless, very toxic gas. Please do not refuel your generator while the motor is hot or running.
Also please be sure the extension cords you may be using aren’t damaged and are in good functioning condition.
