Friday, May 3, 2019 at 8:25 am, officers responded to 1915 Pennsylvania, (Longshoreman’s Hall) in reference to a disturbance that led to an aggravated assault with a knife.  Upon arrival, witnesses told officers a man had been stabbed and thrown in the dumpster.  Fire and Ems removed  a 52 year old transient, male victim from the dumpster and transported him to the hospital.

The unknown suspect is described as a black male in his later 40’s, tall, thin, with short hair and a goatee, wearing black pants, gray tank, and his gums are noticeably exposed.  After the suspect stabbed the victim, he picked him up and threw him into the dumpster.  He was last seen walking in the Charlton Pollard Park headed toward McGovern Street.  He took his shirt off and was carrying it.

Numerous officers responded and searched the area.  If you see the suspect call 911.

BISD Police Department was notified, and as a precaution, checked  Charlton Pollard Elementary.
