On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 11:10 p.m. Beaumont Police responded to a robbery that just occurred in the 4400 block of S. 5th street. While in route, officers were advised that two victims were robbed at gun point and that the suspects were stealing the victim’s vehicle, a blue Hyundai Elantra. Officers were able to locate the vehicle near Sarah and 4th street when the suspects decided to evade officers. While evading the suspects crashed the vehicle into a pole in the 2200 block of W. Virginia where they attempted to flee on foot.

While officers were chasing the suspects one of the suspects attempted to discard a firearm during the pursuit. Officers were able to capture this suspect who was identified as b/m, Wilson Toussaint age 20 from Beaumont. The firearm was recovered by officers and it was determined that Toussaint is a convicted felon. The other suspect was not located at this time as the investigation continues.

Toussaint was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was booked in for Aggravated Robbery X2, Evading Arrest, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon.
