Auto-Pedestrian fatality accident 3900 block of College St.

On Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:16 p.m. Beaumont Police Officers responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the 3900 block of College Street. Officers arrived and secured the scene as the victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with critial injuries. Beaumont Traffic investigators arrived on scene and took over the investigation.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the pedestrian was attempting to cross College Street traffic when they were struck. The victim was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving to the Hospital. The identity of the deceased will be released as soon as next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation that is still on-going.
