The Beaumont 911 Operations Center has been accredited through PowerPhone Total Response, a global leader in emergency communications training and technology. Beaumont 911 is the first agency in Texas to receive this distinction.
Public safety agencies that earn accreditation from PowerPhone must meet rigorous quality and accountability standards in emergency call handling. Accredited agencies benefit from improved center management, increased accountability, improved morale, and enhanced public credibility. Accreditation also provides documented establishment of measurable criteria for upgrading call handling standards, personnel practices and procedures.
“Although our job can be highly stressful, we strive daily to provide the best service to the citizens of Beaumont and the Beaumont Police Department,” said Carolyn Lewis, 911 Center Training and QA Supervisor. “I would like to thank our staff for all of their hard work and dedication.”
Beaumont 911 took 365,769 calls for service in 2012.
