(December 4, 2020 – Beaumont, Texas) Beaumont Animal Care is excited to announce that they have received a grant in the amount of $7,500, in support of its no-kill efforts. This grant is made possible through the P Twenty-One Foundation based in Houston, TX and is only available to 501c(3) and government organizations.
Beaumont Animal Care would especially like to thank Mayor Becky Ames’ office for applying for and completing the necessary paperwork to help make this possible. Beaumont Animal Care is on track to complete its first full year maintaining its no-kill status in December. This means that BAC has maintained a 90% or above save rate for the whole year.
“This would not be possible without the help from our community and the teamwork from our many different rescue organizations coming together for a common goal,” states Matthew Fortenberry, Manager of Beaumont Animal Care. “We are especially grateful for Mayor Ames, who believes in and has supported our efforts every step of the way.”
Beaumont Animal Care intends on using the grant to sponsor more spays, neuters, and rescue transports. Anyone interested in saving a life can view our available animals on Facebook or Petfinder at “Beaumont Animal Care”. If anyone would like to make a donation towards our spay and neuter program, they may donate online at Beaumonttexas.gov, look for the PayPal button.
