The Beaumont Animal Services Unit of the Beaumont Police Department will be debuting two new vehicles that sport animal graphics.

Media outlets are invited to Animal Services, 1884 Pine Street, on Tuesday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m.  Animal Services Supervisor Matthew Fortenberry will be available to give more information on these vehicles.  Also on hand will be Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames and Chief of Police James Singletary.

The graphics are being added to offer mobile advertising encouraging the adoption of shelter animals.  We hope that increased visibility will translate to increased adoptions.  The Animal Services Unit maintains a fleet of five vehicles.  They are planning to make the transition over to the new graphics on their entire fleet in the future.

We hope to see all media outlets tomorrow to help us spread the word and to give these animals a chance at a new forever home!  All media members present will be given a free kitten or puppy! (Just kidding!)
