On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at about 11:00 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Pine St, in reference to an Aggravated Robbery that had just occurred. Investigation revealed that that approximately 4 black males, all of whom were armed, committed a home invasion at the residence. The suspects stole one of the victim’s vehicles as well as several items from the home. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
On Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 1900 block of Nora in reference to suspicious activity in a wooded area. The caller stated that they believed the suspects were attempting to move a stolen vehicle. When Officers arrived in the area, the suspects fled on foot. Two of the three suspects were detained and transported to the police station. The vehicle recovered was the victim’s from the Robbery that occurred last night on Pine Street and additional stolen property from the robbery was located inside the suspect’s residence. After speaking with detectives, Darrell Johnson AKA “DJ”, a 17 year old Beaumont Man, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. Additional arrests are expected in reference to this case.
