On Monday, January 8, 2018 at about 5:28 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to an apartment at 3030 French Rd, in reference to an Attempted Burglary that had just occurred. The complainant was able to give a description of the suspect and Officers located the suspect at a nearby store. The suspect, identified as Floyd Toran, a 42 year old Beaumont man, was in possession of a stolen firearm. Toran was placed under arrest and transported to the Jefferson County Jail, where he was charged with Burglary of a Habitation, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Theft (by possession) of a Firearm.
