On Sunday, May 14, 2017 at about 7:00 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a residence in the 3800 block of Park Street, in reference to a Victim of a Shooting. When Officers arrived, they discovered a deceased male, identified as Devonta Lamell, a 24 year old Beaumont man.
Beaumont Detectives in conjunction with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office have arrested Dalveus Dewayne Williams, a 23 year old Beaumont man in connection with the death of Devonta Lamell. Williams spoke with detectives this morning and after the conclusion of his interview, was placed under arrest for Criminally Negligent Homicide. Williams is the half-brother of the deceased.
