On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 6:29 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to a residence in the 2900 block of Ave C in reference to shots fired. When Officers arrived it was discovered that the victim arrived at the residence to speak with the homeowner about a civil issue. The homeowner fired several rounds at the victim while the victim was still in his car. The homeowner then fled on foot when officers arrived in the area. A brief foot pursuit ended when Officers located the homeowner several blocks from the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Following the lengthy investigation, the homeowner, identified as Jimmy Lee Euglon, a 50 year old Beaumont resident, was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
