Beaumont Man Arrested for Burglary – 600 block of Goodhue

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 2:30 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Goodhue in reference to a burglar alarm. While Officers were in route, police dispatch received a second call from the homeowner, who advised he had shot someone who was breaking into his home. Officers arrived on scene to find the suspect, identified as Cameron Elgin Casinger (a 26 year old Beaumont resident) on the front porch, suffering from a single gun shot wound to the upper leg. Casinger was transported by Beaumont EMS to a local hospital, where he was treated, released and transported to the Jefferson County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
