Beaumont Man Arrested for Evading in Motor Vehicle & Evading on Foot- Broadway & 6th Street

On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 7:02 p.m., two Beaumont Police Officers located a burglary suspect vehicle stopped in the roadway in the area of Broadway and 6th Street. When Officers attempted to make contact with the driver of the vehicle, later identified as John Foutz, a 35 year old Beaumont resident, he put the vehicle in drive and fled from the Officers. Foutz continued to flee for a short time, before losing control of the vehicle in the 4900 block of Pine Street. Foutz then exited the vehicle and evaded Officers on foot but was quickly apprehended. He was placed under arrest for evading detention in a motor vehicle and evading arrest on foot, then transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
