On Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:54 p.m., Officers of the Beaumont Police Department, Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on IH-10 Eastbound, near mile marker 848. Investigation revealed that 71 pint, bottles of Promethazine (common street name of “Syrup” or “Lean”) were concealed inside the vehicle. The driver, Arrick Harris, a 42 year old, Jackson, Mississippi Man, was placed under arrest for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
