On Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 848 am, officers responded to the 2000 block of Live Oak in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a black male that matched the description. While speaking to officers the black male took off running through yards and a nearby apartment complex. A perimeter was setup and he was found hiding under an abandon house in the 2700 block of Mashed O. He was arrested and transport to the police station to speak with Detectives.
The suspect was identified as a Beaumont resident Marquis Deshawn Jones, black male, date of birth April 14, 1995.
Detectives are diligently working on the case.
