Beaumont Police have made several arrests in two separate game room robberies that occurred on March 28th and April 11th of this year. Detectives have worked diligently towards identifying the suspects involved in these armed robberies.
On March 28, 2016, Beaumont Police responded to the Joy Luck Game Room located at 1402 Washington in reference to a robbery. Through the investigation, it was determined that four black male suspects entered the business and began taking money from the victims inside the store, while one of the suspects held the patrons at gunpoint. Detectives have been able to identify and arrest two suspects, one of which is a juvenile.
The adult suspect arrested was identified as Ajohntay Griffin, age 17 from Beaumont and he has been charged with Aggravated Robbery. The juvenile has also been charged. This investigation continues as more suspects are being identified.
On April 11, 2016, Beaumont Police responded to the S & S Game Room located at 2914 S. 4th Street in reference to a robbery. Through this investigation, it was determined that two black male suspects entered the business as one of the suspects held the patrons at gun point and began taking money from them. Video Surveillance captured the incident and it has helped detectives identify them.
The two suspects are in custody and have been charged with Aggravated Robbery. They have been identified as Eric Simmons, age 24 from Beaumont and Jamard Living, age 20 from Beaumont.
