At 10:30 A.M. this morning, the Beaumont Police Department will have an Oath of Office for three new officers in the Training Classroom at the station.
Jacob Leslie, a 27 year old resident of Beaumont, TX, is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy. Leslie previously served 8 years active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard with 4 years as a Boarding Officer. Pinning his badge today will be his brother-in-law, Sgt. Cody Lackey of the Boerne Police Department.
Jeffrey Vogt, a 45 year old resident of Lumberton, TX, is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy. Vogt previously served as a New Jersey State Corrections Officer where he retired after 25 years of service. Pinning his badge today will be his father, James, a retired Law Enforcement Officer with services rendered at the state and federal level.
Reginald Boykin Jr., a 26 Year old resident of Beaumont, TX is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy. Boykin is a graduate of the University of Jamestown as well, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. More recently, Boykin served four (4) years as a Correctional Officer with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Pinning his badge today will be his father, long-time Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy, Reginald Boykin Sr.
