BPD Detectives have filed charges of Murder and Aggravated Robbery against two suspects in connection with the August 25, 2021 Homicide of Matthew Dragulski. During the robbery, the suspects shot a second victim, who was paralyzed as a result of the shooting and remains hospitalized.

Last week, BPD Detectives filed Murder and Aggravated Robbery against a 14 year old male juvenile. Today, BPD Detectives filed Murder and Aggravated Robbery against 20 year old Elijah Jakquel Guillory, a Beaumont resident (pictured below). Both suspects were recently jailed on unrelated charges, therefore they are already in custody, with these new charges added.

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:16 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 2300 block of Hayes in reference to a victim of a shooting. When Officers arrived they located two victims in front of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

Preliminary investigation leads detectives to believe that the two victims were in front of the residence working on vehicles when they were robbed and shot. Detectives are asking anyone who lives on Hayes and the surrounding area to check their surveillance cameras between the hours of 11:00 p.m and Midnight for any suspicious activity.

BPD Detectives have obtained surveillance video from the 2300 block of Hayes that shows two hooded subjects approach the victim’s home on foot at 11:12 p.m. on August 25, 2021 and open fire. The deceased has been identified as 37 year old Beaumont resident, Matthew Dragulski. The other victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Detectives are still asking anyone in the area of the 2300 block of Hayes to check their surveillance videos for anything that could assist in the investigation.
