Early Thursday morning, just before 1:00am, Beaumont Police Department Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Maddox St in Beaumont’s South Park Neighborhood, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. While en-route, officers were notified that the complainant also heard multiple gunshots. As officers arrived in the area, they discovered a vehicle parked in the ditch. Inside the vehicle was a man that appeared to have been shot several times. after EMS arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and a very deliberate investigation began. Due to the investigation being in its earliest stages, the victim’s name will be withheld from release.
