Beaumont Police Investigating a Homicide and Two Aggravated Assaults

 

Thursday, May 03, 2018 at about 9:00pm, officers responded to the area of Ewing and North in reference to shots fired. Dispatch advised there was possibly a shooting victim.
While officers were en-route to the call, three shooting victims showed up at St Elizabeth’s emergency room. Some officers went to the North and Ewing to look for the scene and others went to the hospital. The preliminary investigation revealed the victims were involved in a dice game when an argument escalated and shots were fired.

One 52 year old Beaumont man was shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital. A 34 year old Beaumont man was shot multiple times but is stable.  A 28 year old Beaumont man was shot and had a non life threatening wound.

The deceased victim has been identified as Gregory Willridge, a 52 year old Beaumont man.  His family has been notified.

Detectives are taking statements from witnesses and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking that any witnesses please come forward and speak with an investigator.
