Beaumont Police Investigating Auto-Pedestrian Fatality- 11th St. & Broadway

On Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6:53 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the area of 11th St. & Broadway in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a White Hyundai SUV, was traveling south on 11th St and moved to the center lane, to make a left turn on to Broadway. The victim, identified as Donald Olivier, a 72 year old Vidor man, was crossing the street (from West to East) when he was struck. Beaumont EMS transported the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation is on-going.
