On Friday, August 28, 2020 at 9:04 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 2400 block of Magnolia in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash. When officers arrived, they located the victim laying near the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was nearby and advised that he was traveling northbound when he struck something in the roadway. He turned around, located the victim and immediately called police. The victim was pronounced deceased and has been identified as Joseph Richard, a 60 year old Beaumont resident. The investigation is on-going.
