On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at about 3:00 a.m. Beaumont Police Responded to the area of Magnolia and Trinidad, in reference to an Unknown Call for Police involving a man with a gun. When Officers arrived, they were unable to locate anyone. About 30 minutes later, Police responded to 2155 N. 11th St. in reference to a female calling saying that she was at a residence (near the original call location) when a man began shooting . The female was eventually able to lead police to a residence in the 4700 block of Carneige, where a possible shooting scene was located. Shortly after this discovery, Police received a call about a man covered in blood in the canal near Taylor and Birmingham. The victim was found to have gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he is undergoing treatment. At this time, the investigation is on-going.
