On Monday, May 13, 2019 at 6:36 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the area of IH-10 and Magnolia, Eastbound in reference to a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle. According to multiple witnesses, the motorcycle operator was traveling at a very high rate of speed when he struck the concrete retaining wall on the inside eastbound lane of travel. The operator was thrown from the motorcycle into on coming westbound traffic, where he was struck by several vehicles. While on scene officers discovered that the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Houston. Officers also located a handgun along with a large quantity of narcotics and cash. The deceased has been identified as Stewart Dundee Henderson, a 30 year old Dayton, Texas man. Next of kin has been notified.
