Beaumont Police Officer James Powell participated in the 2018 Police Athletic Federation Games held in Fort Worth, Texas June 10-16, 2018. Officer Powell placed first in the Cross Fit individual competition category 3 group.
The Texas Police Games are held annually since 1974 and are open to all sworn peace officers local, state, and federal. Events range from cross fit to triathlons and are broken into category age groups.
We would like to congratulate Officer Powell and are proud of his accomplishment. Officer Powell is currently assigned to the Special Assignment Unit (SAU) and is a member of the SWAT team.
