Beaumont Police Officers locate 24.4 Kilos of Liquid Meth on a traffic stop on I-10 near 11th street.
In the early morning hours at 2:57 a.m. Beaumont Police Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation of a Red Chevy Van on Interstate 10 near 11th street. The traffic stop revealed approximately 24.4 Kilos of Liquid Methamphetamines. The drugs were found to be concealed in 12 ounce cans and clear bouncing balls. The estimated street value is in the millions. During the investigation, it was revealed that the 3 occupants of the vehicle were traveling from Mexico back to the state of Georgia. The three suspects were arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where they will be booked in for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1>=400 G.
This type of narcotic can be detrimental to our society and we are working with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Homeland Security & Immigration (HSI) for future federal prosecution of this case.
The three suspects were identified as:
Ernesto Izaguirre, age 41 from Georgia
Juan C. Chavira-Guerrero, age 37 from Georgia
Susana Escalante-Visinais, age 62 from Georgia
