Thanks to the speedy response of Beaumont Police Department’s patrol officers, a dangerous shooter has been arrested this morning.


At 3:30am this morning (10/23/15), Beaumont Police officers were dispatched to Days Inn located in the 2100 block of 11th Street in Beaumont’s north end regarding a shooting.  As officers arrived, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.  Officers gained a description of the shooter, 43 year old Port Neches, TX man Todd Ledoux, and discovered Ledoux was still inside of room #234.  As officers approached the room, they observed Ledoux attempting to exit.  After giving verbal commands to Ledoux, officers were able to safely take him into custody.  During a search of Ledoux, officers found the weapon believed to be used in the shooting.  The victim of the shooting was transported to St. Elizabeth for immediate surgery due to being shot in the abdomen.  Ledoux was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was booked.
