Beaumont Police Swearing In 5 New Officers Friday, June 8, 2018

Please join us Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Beaumont Police Department Training Classroom as Chief Singletary swears in 5 new Beaumont Police Officers.

The following new recruits will be sworn in during an Oath of Office Ceremony.

Joshua Ratcliff, is a 27 year old resident of Beaumont. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Texas Tech and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T.
Regional Police Academy.

Chancellor Van Houten, is a 25 year old resident of Nederland. He served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Operations Specialist and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Katy Austin, is a 26 year old resident of Beaumont. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Katy served 1 1/2 years as a 911 dispatcher for the Beaumont Police Department and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Lionel Berry, is a 32 year old resident of Beaumont. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lamar University and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police
Academy. Lionel worked with Jefferson County Juvenile Probation for 2 years and also worked for Jefferson County Adult Probation for 7 years.

D’Ray Wilridge, is a 33 year old resident of Beaumont. He served 2 years in the U.S. Navy as a Master at Arms, earned an associate’s degree in Homeland Security from L.I.T., and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Officer Haley Morrow has been with the Beaumont Police Department for 4 years. Officer Morrow served on Patrol prior to being assigned to the Police Community Relations Unit in July of 2016. Officer Morrow comes from a family of Beaumont Police Officers, to include her Father, Brother, and Husband. Her sister is also employed with the City of Beaumont as a 911 dispatcher.
