On Wednesday, November 25, BPD Detectives obtained Murder warrants for both Deshaun Tremaine Manuel (pictured below in blue) and Joseph Gerard Matthews (pictured below in orange). On Thursday, November 26, Manuel turned himself in and was transported to the Jefferson County Jail. Joseph Matthews is still at-large with an active Murder warrant. Beaumont Police Detectives are Looking for Two Persons of Interest in Reference to an Early Morning Homicide and Aggravated Assault – 1658 Glasshouse
Sunday, November 22, 2020 at approximately 2:44 A.M. Officers responded to 1658 Glasshouse in reference to a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival Officers located Jacoby Jackson, a 25 year old Beaumont man, deceased in the roadway, from an apparent gunshot wound. Another victim, a 20 year old Beaumont man, was transported by private auto to Christus St. Elizabeth with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. He was treated and released. Jacoby’s next of kin was on scene. There was a large crowd at the location and witnesses have not been cooperative.
Investigators need to speak with two persons of interest, Deshaun Tremaine Manuel (also goes by Deshaun Matthews) and Joseph Matthews. They are both from Beaumont.
