BPD Detectives have released the name of the victim of the May 24, 2020 Homicide that occurred in the 1100 block of Houston Street. The victim has been identified as 38 year old Beaumont resident, Gustavo Sanchez. Detectives are looking for a person of interest, Sergio Romero (pictured below) who may be driving a 2007 black Chevy Silverado (FYR-4234). Beaumont Police Investigating Homicide- 1100 Houston
On Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 2:02 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the area of Houston and Milam Streets in reference to a Victim of a Shooting. When Officers arrived, they discovered a hispanic male deceased in the driveway of a residence in the 1100 block of Houston Street. The investigation is on-going and details are limited at this time however, Detectives would like to speak with a person of interest, Sergio Alejandro Romero-Verde and believe that he may be driving a black Chevrolet Silverado with a possible license plate of FYR-4234. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time, pending positive verification and next of kin notification.
