BPD Detectives Seeking Witness Information in April 19 Homicide- 900 W. Florida

Beaumont Police Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward and assist the investigation into the early morning, April 19, 2020 homicide of 41 year old Monica Landrio in the 900 block of W. Florida. Detectives believe that more than 30 people were present when the incident occurred, however very few have provided information. It is believed that the shooting and information pertaining to possible involved persons was captured on cell phone and/or social media.
BPD asks that parents whose children were present at this incident, which led to a homicide, have their child do the right thing and come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation. Furthermore, anyone who sees something on social media that is related to the investigation, please record/screenshot and contact BPD.

Monica Landrio, a 41 year Beaumont resident, has died from injuries she received during a disturbance in the 900 block of W. Florida. A 15 year old juvenile is in custody. Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 4:26 am, officers responded to apartments in the 900 block of W. Florida in reference to a victim of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 41 year old Beaumont woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital by EMS. Investigators learned there was fight at the apartments involving a large crowd with juveniles involved. Witnesses advised the victim fired a round in an attempt to break up the fight. A male juvenile fired several rounds and struck the 41 year old female victim. The 15 year old juvenile male suspect fled the area. He was later arrested and transported to Juvenile Detention and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim is in critical condition.
