On Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:22am dispatch put out a call of a robbery in progress at Chase Bank located at 350 S.Downlen Rd.

Upon officers arrival it was learned that a black male entered the bank displaying a silver handgun, possibly a revolver. The suspect approached the teller and demanded the money. The suspect kept the gun pointed at the tellers head as she removed all of the money from her drawer and placed it in a small bag. He then fled out of the west exit doors and across the street through a small gate which leads into Lancaster Cornwall Apartments. During the suspects escape he left a trail of money and other items on the ground as he made his way through the complex and possibly to a waiting vehicle. A K-9 officer and his partner responded to the scene and tracked the suspect and money until the dog lost scent in the parking lot.

Suspect is described as a black male 5’09” thin build, wearing white hoodie w/blk stripes, blue jeans, sun glasses, bandana and socks for gloves.
