On Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 5:08 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 3800 block of Eastex Freeway in reference to a major traffic accident involving two vehicles. When officers arrived, it was determined that one of the drivers was deceased on scene. Traffic investigators arrived on scene and the crash is still under investigation.
The victim was identified as John Christopher Garcia-Paredez, age 55 from Beaumont.
