Chief Singletary will swear in a new group of officers during an Oath of Office Ceremony. The ceremony takes place on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the Beaumont Police Department Training Room.

The following men will be sworn in as Beaumont Police Officers:

Chase Ratcliff is a 22 year old resident of Beaumont. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University in Political Science. Chase recently graduated from the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy at the top of his classChase is also a former member of the Beaumont Police Explores Post.

Holden Holsomback is a 24 year old resident of KirbyvilleHolden earned an Associates degree from Cedar Valley College. He is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Jason Alpers is a 30 year old resident of Saratoga. Jason served four (4) years in the U.S. Navy earning an Honorable Discharge. He is also a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Marcus Brown is a 23 year old resident of GrovesMarcus attended Troy University and is a recent graduate of the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy.

Gabriel Fells is a 26 year old resident of Beaumont. Gabriel served four (4) years active duty in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Sergeant. For the past four (4) years he has continued to serve in the Army National Guard. Gabriel attended L.I.T. and recently graduated from the Regional Police Academy.

Jarmeel Whitting is a 31 year old resident of Beaumont. He attended Houston Community College and recently graduated from the L.I.T. Regional Police Academy. Jarmeel previously served as a Juvenile Correctional Officer at Texas Youth Commission and most recently served ten (10) years as a jail attendant for the Houston Police Department.

 Noah Visser is a 21 year old resident of Port Neches. Noah earned an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from L.I.T. and is a recent graduate of the Regional Police Academy.  Noah is also a recipient of the Bryan Hebert Memorial Scholarship.   

After being sworn in, these new recruits will spend twenty-two weeks in a rigorous field-training program.
