The Beaumont Police Department will be hosting an ATF Explosives Awareness and Demonstration for local prosecutors and court personnel. A live explosives demonstration will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the BPD Range Facility located at 5895 Lafin Road. Experts from ATF will demonstrate detonations of various types of explosives. This is an awareness demonstration designed to teach systematic methods of investigating explosion scenes. The demonstration will include explosive identification, applications, explosives effects, and IED component recognition. Media is invited to attend and film the demonstration. Officer Haley Morrow has been with the Beaumont Police Department for 7 years. Officer Morrow served on Patrol prior to being assigned to the Police Community Relations Unit in July of 2016.
