On February 16, 2015, at approximately 11:50pm, officers responded to the 3700 block of Delaware @ 19th Street in reference to a man that had possibly been struck by a car. Officers arrived to find a 32 year old Beaumont man lying in the roadway with head injuries. EMS personnel on scene advised the victim was in critical condition. Based on the information at hand the BPD Traffic Investigations Unit was called. The subject was transported to St. Elizabeth ER where he was still receiving treatment for his injuries and had been stabilized. Officers canvassed the neighborhood, but very little information was received. At this time, the victim has not been able to communicate with investigators and it is unknown if he was struck by a vehicle or assaulted.
