At 2:38AM, a 911 call was received reporting smoke coming from the Super Food Store, located at 1410 West Virginia. Beaumont Firefighters responded, once on scene they had to force entry to security panels on the exterior of the building. They entered the building and found heavy fire and smoke conditions in the interior of the building. They were able to bring the fire under control within a few minutes. The majority of the fire damage was confined to the clerk/counter area of the business. However there was smoke and heat damage throughout the store. At this time the fire is under investigation, the Fire Marshals Office is still trying to make contact with the owners of the business. The Beaumont Health Department was notified and a representative responded to the scene. No injuries were sustained by firefighters.
