On Tuesday, May 30, the Beaumont City Council voted to contract with Moncla’s Inc. in order to participate in the 2017 Summer Food Program, which is a collaborative effort between the City of Beaumont, the Texas Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The Summer Food Program provides free, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for any child from ages 1 to 18. This is the 25th year the City has participated in the program.
The City’s Summer Food Program is a lunch-only program, is Monday through Friday, and lasts from June 5 to August 11, excluding July 4.
