Last night at approximately 9:38 p.m. Beaumont Police Officers responded to the Stop and Go in the 2300 block of Louisiana in reference to an aggravated robbery in progress. Officers arrived within several minutes to find the clerk suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder area. During the investigation, it was revealed that three suspects entered the store wearing gloves and clothing covering their faces. Once they entered the store one of the suspects immediately shot the clerk. The suspects then moved to the cash drawer removing money and were last seen exiting the store.
The clerk is listed in stable condition and is being treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital. We will update as soon as more information is available including video.
