Beaumont Police Officers quickly responded to a reported burglary in progress in the 1100 block of Euclid Street at approximately 9:47 this morning. As soon as officers arrived, witnesses directed them to the area of Reed/Pipkin Street. At this location, officers were able to locate one of the burglary suspects.
This suspect was taken into custody and identified as bm, Dominick Leday age 19 from Beaumont. Officers also located Leday’s vehicle, which revealed property taken from the residence in the 1100 block of Euclid. The investigation is still on-going and it is possible that it will lead to other burglaries committed in the area.
This is an example of great teamwork, as officers we depend on our community partners. Leday was booked into the Jefferson County Jail for Burglary of Habitation.
