You are invited to the Crime Stoppers of the Year Awards reception on
Tuesday, Oct 27 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Beaumont Event Centre.
Allison Nathan Getz, Henry Adams and Terry Metreyeon will each be honored
with a Crime Stopper of the Year Award for their efforts to advance Crime
Stoppers’ mission of solving and preventing crime in Southeast Texas.
Allison Getz is being honored for her visionary leadership in organizing
the Dowlen West Neighborhood Association. Their utilization of NextDoor
has had a huge impact on reducing crime in that part of the West End.
Pro-active citizens like Allison are who make Beaumont a great place to
live, work and play!
Henry Adams, President of Leak Sealers, is being honored for his support
of law enforcement in Hardin County. A long time resident of Lumberton,
Mr. Adams and his company have purchased bullet proof vests, tasers,
patrol rifles and even a new Tahoe for the Lumberton Police Department.
Terry Metreyeon, President of County Home and Ranch, is being honored
because of his long history of supporting law enforcement. On numerous
occasions, Mr. Metreyeon offered increases to rewards paid by Crime
Stoppers to help solve burglaries and other crimes. At Christmas, Mr.
Metreyeon assists the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office initiative of
“Cops Helping Kids Program” by donating bicycles to Boy’s Haven, Girl’s
Haven and the Salvation Army so that a child may wake up on Christmas Day
and see a new bicycle under the Christmas tree.
