The City of Beaumont’s Emergency Operations Center has had Damage Assessment crews out in the city conducting exterior visual surveys of residences and businesses that have sustained damage from Tropical Storm Imelda. The preliminary assessments have indicated that over 1,200 structures were damaged.
Attached is a map showing dots of known damaged structures, as of 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
Assessments are on-going. Any properties inside the city limits of Beaumont that sustained damage from the effects of Imelda that are not shown on the map are encouraged to call 409-785-4704. The damage assessment data is vital for State and Federal assistance to be provided to our citizens during recovery efforts.
At this time, it is not necessary for assessment crews to enter structures or collect information directly from property owners.
***The Damage Assessment Reporting Hotline will have the operating hours of 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. until further notice***
