The role of Information Technology is to provide the City’s operating departments with the technical support and equipment needed to successfully and efficiently deliver their services to the public.
Technology Services
Information Technology is responsible for the planning, development and administration of the City’s information technology systems to provide citizen-oriented and cost-effective technology services to City departments. A full array of services is supported including Financial, Public Safety, server management, PC management, web page design, imaging, mobile computing, Geographical Information System (GIS), and many others.
Telecommunications
Telecommunicaitions is responsible for the maintenance of the City’s communication network consisting of radio, telephone and specialized intercom systems. The radio system supported is also in use throughout Jefferson County, Orange County and Hardin County.

Beaumont 311 provides non-emergency services for the citizens of Beaumont, as well as for those individuals passing through the city limits of Beaumont. Beaumont 311 is a “One Stop Shop” and is the best way to alert the City of any non-emergency issues. All operators are City of Beaumont employees.
