The Maurine Gray Literacy Center helps adult students achieve their literacy or testing goals. Students are evaluated upon entering the program, and progress is closely monitored by staff.

Programs Offered
The program is affiliated with ProLiteracy America, a national literacy organization.
We offer:
- Basic literacy tutoring
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- GED preparation
- Citizenship test preparation

Eligibility
To be eligible for tutoring students must
- be at least 18 years old
- be willing to meet with a tutor for one to four hours a week for at least six months
- provide their own transportation to an approved tutoring site
- be able to attend a lesson at least 60 minutes.

Cost
- There is a one-time registration fee of $10.
- All materials and support are provided.

- Students can utilize Mango Languages – ESL software to help them learn English!
