A shooting victim and possible witnesses are offering very little information surrounding the details that led to the shooting of a 39-year-old Beaumont man.

At about 3:32 p.m. today, Patrol Officers responded to a reported shooting victim at the Beaumont EMS Station located in the 3200 block of Avenue A.  Officers arrived and discovered that the 39-year-old man was suffering from a possible gunshot wound to his buttocks.  EMS personnel stated that two females dropped off the victim then left.  EMS transported the man to St. Elizabeth ER where he was alert and conscious while taken to surgery.  ER staff listed him in stable condition.

The two women who originally dropped the victim off at the EMS Station eventually arrived at the hospital emergency room.  Officers interviewed them and the victim and all gave very limited information.  It appears that the three had gone to a house somewhere near the intersection of Virginian @ Avenue A.  The victim went into the house for some type of transaction.  An argument broke out and the man ran from the house.  An unknown subject then allegedly fired a shot that struck the man.  None of the three could give any description of the suspect or the house at which the incident occurred.
