Today, August 8, 2016 at 1155 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a hold up alarm at the Community Bank, in the 7400 block of HWY 105. Officers were told that a white male, approximately 5’5-5’8, with a red beard had robbed the store. Witnesses said that the suspect was wearing a grey baseball cap, black rimmed glasses, a white and black plaid scarf around his neck, a tan long sleve button up shirt, and dark pants. The suspect entered the store carrying a large red women’s style handbag. He approached a teller and used a note to demand money. The suspect DID NOT imply that he had a weapon and did not make any threats. After the robbery, the suspect fled on foot to his vehicle which was parked in the Ritter Lumber parking lot.
Officers were able to obtain video surveillence and gather a vehicle description. The suspect vehicle is described as a white in color, newer model, Cadillac CTS, 4 door sedan, with tinted windows.
