On Thursday, January 1, at about 10:21 p.m., Patrol Officers responded to a panic alarm at the Stop & Shop Convenience Store located at 671 Washington Blvd.  When officers arrived, the clerk told them that a man had just robbed the store at gunpoint.

The clerk told officers that a man walked into the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the robber fled the store with an undetermined amount of money.  No one was physically injured during the robbery.  Witnesses said that the robber ran southbound on Sabine Pass Street.  Officers conducted a search using K9s but were unable to locate the suspect.

Witnesses described the robber as a black male, about twenty to twenty-five years of age, about 5’07” with a slim build, wearing a black ski mask, gray hooded sweater and sweat pants.
